Job Summary
Part-time Oral Hygiene Technologist supports faculty teams within the laboratory and clinic environments at Fanshawe College, overseeing space and equipment, ensuring student safety in equipment use, maintaining IPAC and PHIPA privacy compliance, and performing complex dental clinic tasks including dental radiography and medical reprocessing. Requires Certification as a Dental Assistant with HARP, minimum 2 years of experience, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to multitask, and ability to work in a team and with students in an educational setting.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant in good standing with the Ontario Dental Assistants Association
- HARP Certified
- Minimum 2-years' working experience as a Certified Dental Assistant
- Strong organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of people from different backgrounds
- Experience working with students in a professional learning environment would be considered an asset
