Job Summary
Part-time storeroom worker at Penn State University Press. Duties include receiving, unloading, and unpacking materials; inspecting quantity and product condition; verifying orders and marking containers with date received; updating inventory database; reporting discrepancies to Supervisor; carrying or loading incoming goods on pallets, skids, or carts; storing items properly and rotating stock; preparing outgoing materials for shipping; packing, sealing, and labeling; identifying damaged or obsolete items as directed; assisting with physical inventory; processing receiving reports and inventory discrepancies; providing customer support at a service counter; and performing routine maintenance on equipment. Requires basic math and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs continuously. Schedule: up to 20 hours/week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9:00am-4:00pm with lunch break). Starting pay is $18/hour. Background checks are required for employment per university policies.
