Job Summary
Welcome guests at the door, provide water service, remove empty plates, and replenish table supplies to create a memorable tasting experience. Accommodate special requests, clear tables after guests leave, and reset tabletops while ensuring floors and seating areas remain clean. Inspect restrooms regularly, assist with pre- and post-shift setup and cleanup, and restock wine, merchandise, and collateral materials as needed. Support Wine Guides with timely replenishment of service items. This part-time role (up to 29 hours/week) includes flexible weekend and holiday shifts at the Downtown Tasting Room.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Valid Food Handler Certificate and Alcohol Beverage Control License or willing to complete upon employment
- Possess a flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends and holidays
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members from diverse backgrounds
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, tasting room or other hospitality setting is preferred but not required
- Show a strong interest in customer service and an appreciation for wine
- Interest in customer service and wine, with a willingness to learn and grow
