Job Summary
Oversee daily store operations by ensuring crew members deliver exceptional customer service, manage opening and closing procedures, and handle urgent issues as Manager on Duty. Direct staff training on the B.E.S.T. experience while assisting with stock receiving, unpacking, and merchandising to optimize sales and control expenses. Perform store maintenance tasks including cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, and organizing the stock room. Work a flexible schedule requiring day, evening, weekends, and overnight shifts, with a starting hourly rate of $11.50. This part-time role supports the store leadership team in maintaining high standards across all Five Below worlds.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Minimum 1 years of management experience
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require day, evening, weekends and may include overnight shifts and travel (as required)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
- Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to effectively manage store operations
- Must be able to effectively oversee daily activities of all store associates
- Must be able to effectively train the crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience
- Must be able to effectively support the onboarding and ongoing training of associates
- Must be able to effectively drive store sales and control expenses
- Must be able to effectively perform store maintenance
- Must be able to effectively act as Manager on Duty
- Must be able to effectively manage the entire process of opening or closing the store
- Must be able to effectively secure cash, lock doors, set alarms, and ensure everything is in place for a smooth daily operation
- Must be able to effectively receive, unpack, and organize new stock
- Must be able to effectively position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor
- Must be able to effectively ascend/descend ladders in order to retrieve and put away stock
- Must be able to effectively move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
- Must be able to effectively communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers
- Must be able to effectively ensure all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers
- Must be able to effectively ensure that each guest has a fast, friendly check out experience
- Must be able to effectively perform duties effectively and provide excellent customer service
- Must be able to effectively boost sales by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service
