Job Summary
Kokua Education seeks part-time substitute teachers in San Antonio, TX to cover K-12 classrooms. You can set your schedule, work up to 5 days/week, and earn up to $172/day (long-term positions earn $172/day; daily positions $140/day). The role involves classroom presence and support such as lunch/recess supervision, tutoring, hallway monitoring, and proctoring during testing season. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience with kids, completed 48+ college credits, strong classroom-management skills, and must pass state and federal background checks. The position offers a path to permanent roles at high-performing K-12 schools, paid via W-2. Locations include San Antonio, Texas, United States. Required Qualifications
- Have at least 1 year working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.)
- Completed 48+ college credit hours
- Feel confident managing a classroom of students
- Are willing to step in where needed - this could include lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season
- Pass state & federal background checks (costs reimbursed after 10 assignments)
