Job Summary
You will set your schedule as a part-time substitute teacher in the Dallas area, teaching assignments across K-12 schools. Responsibilities include managing classrooms, assisting with lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing seasons. Must have at least 1 year of experience with kids, 48+ college credits, and pass background checks. Opportunities for longer-term assignments and a path to permanent roles exist. Paid via W-2 with daily rates of $120 for daily assignments and $135 for long-term assignments, up to $135/day. Flexible scheduling (up to 5 days/week) and serving as a positive role model in classrooms across Dallas area.
Required Qualifications
- Have at least 1 year working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.)
- Completed 48+ college credit hours
- Feel confident managing a classroom of students
- Are willing to step in where needed - this could include lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season
- Pass state & federal background checks (costs reimbursed after 10 assignments)
- Believe every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world
