Job Summary
Part-time substitute teacher position serving K-12 schools in the Rio Grande Valley area. You set your own schedule, work up to 5 days/week in assignments you’re excited about, and can pursue a path to permanent roles. Responsibilities include classroom supervision, tutoring, lunch/recess monitoring, hallway monitoring, and proctoring during testing seasons. Compensation is up to $145/day (higher rates apply for High School/GED/associate degree holders and for Bachelor's/Master's degree holders); paid via W-2. Strong emphasis on role modeling and fostering a love of learning; background checks required; training and support provided. Location-specific postings include Rio Grande City, Texas. Path to full-time roles exists at partnering K-12 schools.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.)
- Completed 48+ college credit hours
- Able to manage a classroom of students
- Willing to step in where needed (lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, proctoring during testing)
- Pass state & federal background checks (costs reimbursed after 10 assignments)
