Job Summary
Part-Time Student Worker for Automation & Behavioral Science Engineer at Zoox. Design, build, and iterate on an end-to-end RAG pipeline for autonomy validation, from prototype to demo. Define and run empirical experiments that rely on data, tackle ambiguous problems with a researcher's mindset, and clearly communicate results, trade-offs, and uncertainty to the team. Requires pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in a quantitative field, strong Python programming, data manipulation (SQL, Pyspark, Scala), fundamentals in ML and statistics, and excellent communication and teamwork. On-site in Foster City, available for a 6-month project and at least 40 hours/week. Bonus qualifications include experience with RAG systems/LLMs/VLMs and prior research taking end-to-end problems from zero to result. Program requirements emphasize on-site work and alignment with Zoox's autonomous-vehicle mission.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in a relevant engineering field.
- Available for a 6 month project
- Able to commit to at least 40 hours per week
- Ability to commute on-site to Foster City
- Student Worker may not use proprietary Zoox information in university theses, publications, or share it outside.
