Job Summary
Part-time Student Mail/Copy Center Worker responsible for receiving, sorting, processing and delivering mail and parcels; operate mail processing and printing equipment; drive mail routes; assist customers with related services; maintain equipment and inventory; manage postage charges and billing; ensure security of sensitive materials; may open/close facilities; comply with background checks and motor-vehicle requirements; apply through Workday for internal or external applicants.
Required Qualifications
- May require the ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
- A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks
- Background checks/clearances according to University policies
- Ability to operate mail processing equipment (postage meters, barcode scanners, shrink wrap machines, folding/inserting machines) and printing equipment
- Experience with driving mail routes and delivering mail/packages across campus or to external mail services
- Ability to prepare print jobs (assemble, proof, bind, package, label finished products)
- Provide customer service related to mail and copy services, including job cost estimates and accepting payments or billing information
- Maintain records of production volumes and supply usage; monitor inventory and request restocks as needed
- Possibility of opening, closing, and securing mail or copy center facilities
- Demonstrated commitment to campus security and confidentiality of materials
