Part-Time Student – Smart Factory Data & Asset Connectivity for John Deere Dubuque Works in Dubuque, IA. Responsibilities include validating machine Run/Idle/Fault status accuracy, maintaining an Excel-based issue-tracking log for connectivity and data quality by asset type, investigating and troubleshooting data and connectivity issues (bad tag quality, missing data, misclassified states, network gaps), coordinating PLC, network, and NALB connectivity resolutions with skilled trades and engineering teams, assisting with PLC tag and UDT validation for accurate data structure and mapping into Ignition and Power BI systems, and performing other Smart Connected Factory or Factory Automation tasks. Requires current enrollment as a full-time student in an engineering, manufacturing, computer science, or related field, strong attention to detail and communication, experience with Excel, interest in manufacturing systems or data analytics, and the ability to work 16–20 hours/week during the academic year and 35–40 hours/week in summer; minimum age 18; onsite daily in Dubuque, IA with relocation not provided. The role is part-time and NOT available to immigration visa students.
