Job Summary
Provide friendly, efficient checkout service by accurately scanning and processing customer purchases while adhering to cash policies. Stock shelves and displays neatly following merchandising planograms to maximize sales, ensuring store zones and merchandising standards are maintained at all times. Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals by identifying hazards, maintaining equipment, and performing general cleaning tasks. Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items, verifying contents, and ensuring timely delivery. Operate all store equipment including cash registers, floor scrubbers, and pallet jacks while lifting products up to 45 pounds in varying temperatures. Work independently and with others to maintain reliable attendance and meet availability requirements.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
- Must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am
- Required to lift, carry, and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights, including overhead
- Required to push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move from one area to another
- Required to operate equipment such as a cash register, electric and manual hand jacks, floor scrubber and cardboard baler
- Required to stock product in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments
- Required to use glass and multipurpose cleaning products
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a retail environment
