Job Summary
Provide friendly, efficient checkout service by scanning and processing customer purchases, adhering to cash policies, and managing curbside pickup orders. Stock shelves and displays neatly following merchandising planograms while maintaining store zones and merchandising standards. Perform general cleaning tasks, operate equipment such as cash registers and floor scrubbers, and identify hazards to ensure a safe working environment. Arrive to work as early as 5:00am and assist store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals. This part-time role supports smooth store operations and delivers an excellent customer shopping experience at ALDI.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a retail environment
