Job Summary
Provide friendly, efficient checkout service by scanning purchases, processing transactions, and managing curbside pickup orders. Keep shelves stocked and organized by following merchandising planograms and maintaining store zones standards. Support store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals while identifying and rectifying safety hazards. Perform general cleaning tasks and operate equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubbers, and pallet jacks. Maintain store standards and product handling guidelines in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
- Stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a retail environment
