Job Summary
Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and rotate product to guarantee fresh availability while maintaining neatly merchandised displays. Provide exceptional customer service, perform general cleaning duties, and operate registers or machinery following all safety procedures. Collaborate with team members to communicate relevant information, monitor inventory for accuracy, and provide feedback on products and scanning errors. Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses, ensuring compliance with state requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
Required Qualifications
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Effective time management
- Knowledge of products and services of the company
- Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
- Comply with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
- Ability to operate equipment safely and properly, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
- Morning availability to accommodate store operational responsibilities
- Availability to work morning shifts with start times as early as 5:00 a.m.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving
- Ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
