Job Summary
ALDI Part-Time Store Cashier/Stocker role includes providing friendly checkout service using the POS system and stocking shelves per merchandising plans. Responsibilities cover customer service, operating cash registers, opening additional lanes as needed, processing curbside pickup orders, maintaining inventory and merchandising standards, adhering to safety and company policies, and performing general cleaning. Stockers may need to arrive as early as 5:00am and must handle physical tasks up to 45 pounds and operate equipment like floor scrubbers and pallet jacks. The position requires 18+ years old, with High School diploma or equivalent preferred and retail experience preferred. On-site in Niles, IL.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate POS and store equipment
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
