Job Summary
Part-time cashier and stocker at ALDI responsible for checkout operations using the POS system, accurate cash handling, stocking shelves, merchandising per planograms, and maintaining store standards. Role supports store management in achieving operational efficiency and loss-prevention goals, with responsibilities including inventory procedures, safety and ergonomics, cleaning, and providing friendly customer service. Stocker duties require availability for early morning shifts (as early as 5:00am) and lifting up to 45 pounds. Starting wage is $20.50/hour with scheduled increases over five years.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience preferred
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate POS system and cash handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to work early hours (as early as 5:00am)
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain reliability and attendance
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work independently and with others
