Job Summary
Part-Time Store Cashier/Stocker at ALDI in Rockaway, NJ. The role includes cashier duties using the POS system to process customer purchases, information of scanning concerns, and handling curbside pickup orders, as well as stocking shelves and following merchandising planograms. Responsibilities cover assisting store management in achieving operational efficiency and safety, maintaining inventory and merchandising standards, adhering to company policies, and performing general cleaning to company standards. The position requires early morning availability (as stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am) and is on-site with wage starting at $20.00 per hour, with wage increases in subsequent years.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and with others.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes.
- Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
- Ability to meet availability requirements.
- At least 18 years old required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.
