Job Summary
ALDI is hiring for Part-Time Store Cashier and Stocker roles. Cashiers provide friendly, efficient checkout service using the POS system; Stockers keep shelves stocked and displays tidy following merchandising planograms. Roles contribute to operational efficiency, loss-prevention efforts, safety, and a positive customer experience. The position includes early morning availability (Stocker shift may start as early as 5:00am) and requires lifting up to 45 pounds, with on-site duties in Dubuque, IA. Starting wage is $18.50 per hour with planned increases over time.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience preferred
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate store equipment (cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers)
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
- Stocker must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am
- Must be able to push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move between areas
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights
