Job Summary
Stocking Associate in Bass Pro Shops' Fishing Department performs merchandise stocking duties on Receiving and the Sales Floor, unloads trucks as needed, and maintains back stock. Maintains product knowledge through training, stays informed on advertised sales and plan-o-grams, assists with pricing maintenance and signing, keeps work area clean and stocked, and follows company policies. Requires ability to move and lift objects, operate POS systems, read UPC labels, and communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. All duties are performed under general supervision with occasional independent judgment as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Degree Required: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system
- Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and associates
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, co-workers and customers
- Constantly move, lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds; stand/walk for prolonged periods
- Occasionally ascend/descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
