Part-time Speech Therapist SLP

Job Summary
Conduct speech and language assessments and diagnose disorders for residents in our Memory Care Village. Deliver therapy sessions tailored to individuals with communication difficulties, focusing on those living with dementia. Collaborate across disciplines to support person-directed care environments while maintaining accurate records in PointClickCare. Requires a Georgia Speech Language Pathologist license, two years of skilled nursing experience, and strong verbal communication skills. This day shift role offers approximately 20 hours per week with access to generous PTO, a matching 403b plan, and ongoing mentorship programs within our award-winning non-profit organization.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program
- Speech Language Pathologist License in good standing and able to practice in the state of Georgia
- Ability to assess and diagnose speech and language disorders accurately
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent team player, able to work harmoniously across multiple disciplines
- Ability to effectively interact with elders and their families
- Compassionate and empathetic towards elders, especially those who have communication difficulties
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of experience in Skilled Nursing community preferred
- Experience working in a person directed care environment preferred
- Experience working with persons living with dementia
- Experience with PointClickCare electronic records system preferred
