Job Summary
Part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Lindside Healthcare Center within CommuniCare Rehab. Responsibilities include evaluating, reviewing, and screening residents’ medical charts, developing and directing rehabilitative treatment plans to address communication, swallowing, and cognitive problems; administering, scoring, and interpreting specialized speech tests; instructing residents, families, and caregivers on practice strategies and safe swallowing techniques; attending/interdisciplinary meetings to relay clinical findings and coordinate with the rehab team; and treating residents across multiple locations. Requires a Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a state license (valid or pending). The role emphasizes in-house team membership, resident-centered care, and opportunities to work across multiple centers within the organization. Required Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelors and/or a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an Accredited Program
- Hold a valid or pending State Speech Language Pathology License
- Part Time nursing facility setting experience (implied by role in rehab center)
- Ability to evaluate, screen, and develop treatment plans for speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive aspects
- Instruct residents, families, and caregivers; provide education and practice strategies
- Attend interdisciplinary meetings and communicate findings to rehab team
