Job Summary
Part Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Valley View Healthcare Center in Elkhart, IN. Responsibilities include evaluating, reviewing, and screening residents’ medical charts; developing treatment plans to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive function; directing rehabilitative therapy and administering specialized speech tests; instructing residents, families, and caregivers; participating in interdisciplinary meetings and family education; and potential to treat at multiple locations within the organization. Requires a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and a valid state license or equivalent eligibility. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an Accredited Program
- Valid state Speech Language Pathology license or licensure in process
- Ability to evaluate, screen and develop treatment plans for communication, swallowing, and cognitive problems
- Experience with interdisciplinary teams and resident/family education a plus
- Eligible for licensure to practice as an SLP in Indiana
