Job Summary
Part-time afterschool nanny for a 3-year-old with Down syndrome (nonverbal). Responsibilities include providing attentive and compassionate care after school, supporting transitions from school to home, engaging in educational, sensory, and age-appropriate play activities, encouraging communication, development, and social engagement, maintaining a calm and nurturing presence, and collaborating closely with parents to follow household routines and preferences. Requirements include prior experience with children with special needs, a patient and nurturing personality, ability to support a nonverbal child, strong communication skills, CPR/First Aid certification preferred, driver's license preferred for emergency situations, and legal authorization to work in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children with special needs, developmental delays, or similar experience strongly preferred
