Job Summary
The Spanish Teacher plans, guides, and evaluates students' learning processes in a Part-time Spanish classroom, reports to the principal, and supports the school's Catholic mission by delivering instruction, planning lessons, using varied assessment tools, maintaining student records, and communicating with parents. The role requires knowledge of Catholic teachings, classroom management, differentiation, and professional collaboration, with duties including planning instruction, providing materials, assessing understanding, and upholding school policies. Working conditions include weekend/evening commitments and potential travel as needed by the school's ministry context.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or related field from an accredited American university or equivalent
- Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing
- Must meet Diocese and TCCED teaching requirements
- Must submit Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Application within first week of employment and complete required trainings
- Must maintain EIM compliance during employment
- Without Theology degree, complete Religion Certification Part 1 within two years and Part 2 within six years
- English and Spanish language proficiency, classroom management skills, ability to plan instruction and assess student learning
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
- Willingness to adhere to Catholic school policies and dress code
