Part-Time Social Media Coordinator

Job Summary
Develop and execute social media strategies across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms to support church vision, ministries, and events. Create engaging content including posts, stories, reels, and sermon clips by capturing photo and video during services, events, and ministry activities. Monitor analytics, stay current on platform trends, and coordinate paid promotions to strengthen engagement and reach. Respond to comments and direct messages in a timely manner, connecting inquiries to appropriate ministry staff and escalating sensitive situations as needed. Collaborate with the Communications Director, Graphic Designer, and ministry leaders to maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity. Work a flexible weekday schedule Monday through Thursday, with Sunday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and attend required staff meetings and occasional evenings, weekends, or special events.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalence of education and experience
- Experience managing social media accounts for a church, nonprofit, organization, or brand
- Experience creating engaging short-form video, photography, and digital content
- Ability to create and edit short-form video, photography, graphics, and other social media content
- Strong written communication skills with excellent grammar, spelling, and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with staff, volunteers, ministry leaders, and members of the church community
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a content calendar, deadlines, and multiple priorities
- Ability to understand and maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity
- Ability to review analytics, identify trends, and use insights to improve content and engagement
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and follow through on responsibilities
- Adaptable and able to respond quickly to opportunities in a fast-moving social media environment
- You have a growing and authentic relationship with Jesus Christ
- You are a storyteller at heart and naturally notice moments, people, and stories worth sharing
- You understand digital culture and are energized by what's next in social media, content, and storytelling

- You enjoy collaborating with creative people and ministry leaders and can turn their ideas into content people want to experience

- Regular Sunday hours are 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and All Hands on Deck (AHOD) events as needed
Desired Qualifications
- College coursework or degree in communications, marketing, digital media, graphic design, or a related field
- Experience developing and executing social media content calendars and campaigns
- Photography experience and knowledge of basic photography principles
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, or similar creative tools
- Experience serving or working in a church or ministry environment
