Job Summary
Conduct visual checks of patrons and belongings to prevent prohibited items, monitor entry and exit points for authorized access, and maintain clear aisles for safe movement. Provide directions to venue facilities, assist patrons in distress including medical issues, and protect assets from vandalism or theft. Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel during evacuations, report safety hazards to operations, and complete incident reports. Work primarily nights and weekends based on event schedules, requiring proficiency in two-way radio communication and the ability to remain composed in fast-paced, noisy environments.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Excellent customer relations, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to speak and understand English clearly
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions, policies, and procedures
- Ability to write routine reports clearly and concisely
- Proficiency in communicating utilizing two-way radio equipment
- Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the general public
- Ability to maintain a composed presence in a fast-paced environment where multiple tasks, events, and stimuli may occur simultaneously
- Ability to remain calm and professional in confrontational situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Must be available to work primarily nights and weekends, and occasionally holidays, based on event schedules
- Reliable method of communication for scheduling and urgent contact
- Ability to work outdoors as required by event conditions
- Must be able to remain at the assigned position until properly relieved or dismissed
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift over 100 pounds with assistance
