Job Summary
The Security Officer at Grand Lake Casino is responsible for the safety of casino assets, employees, and guests with a focus on asset protection. Responsibilities include patrolling the casino interior and exterior, operating radios, reporting incidents, escorting staff and contractors, maintaining headcounts, assisting HR with drug testing, and providing basic fire fighting, first aid, and safety responses. Requires high school diploma or GED and security experience; strong knowledge of security protocols, emergency response, surveillance and access-control systems; excellent observation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills; and the ability to work with law enforcement as needed. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, obtain a tribal gaming license, and is required to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. and security experience required
- Customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures
- Proficiency with surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarms
- Strong observation skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to resolve conflicts calmly and professionally
- Ability to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions
- Ability to work collaboratively with security personnel and coordinate with law enforcement
- Keen attention to detail
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license
- Must be at least 18 years old
