Job Summary
Operate the cash register by processing appropriate tenders and maintaining accurate cash register records. Restock the sales floor while following visual merchandising guidelines, which includes lifting boxes weighing up to 35 pounds to a shelf height of 5 feet. Assist visitors with product selection and offer complementary products while navigating complex topics with sensitivity and respect. May open and close the store independently. This part-time seasonal role at Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, PA, runs through October and requires a flexible schedule including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
- Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 35 pounds
