Job Summary
Conduct daily school bus operations transporting students safely between Astorville, Bonfield, Callander, Corbeil, North Bay, Powassan, and Trout Creek. Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections, manage fuel, maintain bus cleanliness, and ensure student safety during boarding and exiting. Operate split shifts to accommodate school-age transportation needs while serving as a positive role model for children. Requires a valid full G-class driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to work independently.
Required Qualifications
- valid minimum full G class drivers license
- Preference will be given to B class drivers
- 21 years of age or over
- clean driving record
- clean criminal record search
- sound knowledge of the Nipissing District and surrounding areas
- ability to work independently
- ability to work split shifts that reflect transportation requirements for school age children
- solid communication skills
- Great customer service and communication skills in order to interact with passengers, parents, school employees, co-workers and the general public in a courteous and professional manner
- meet the required MTO medical standards required to obtain or maintain a B licence
