Job Summary
Greet guests with a friendly attitude, answer store and merchandise questions, and recommend products based on guest needs. Assist with checkout, bag purchases, and prepare merchandise for alterations while maintaining a clean, organized store. Manage visual merchandising by ensuring sales floors are sized correctly, displaying new freight, and handling price markdowns. Perform cashiering duties including opening and closing registers, counting money, balancing drawers, and making deposits. Recognize and prevent security risks, follow loss prevention guidelines, and communicate policy violations or guest concerns to management. Maintain knowledge of sales promotions, exchange procedures, and Buckle's Code of Ethics to achieve personal sales goals and build guest loyalty.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the day of/day after Thanksgiving and Christmas, based upon store and business needs
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 30lbs throughout the store and backroom
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and jump; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
- Ability to sit (occasionally)
