Job Summary
Greet and acknowledge all customers in a prompt, friendly manner while handling merchandise with care and providing information and direction. Demonstrate products to customers, replenish shelves per merchandising guidelines, and restock as required. Maintain product expertise through ongoing training and stay knowledgeable of advertised sales, pricing, and signing. Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves and keep work areas clean, neat, and well-stocked. Identify and evaluate customer needs to make product recommendations, promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up, and assist in making buying decisions. Follow all company policies and procedures. Perform tasks under general supervision using established procedures. Enjoy discounts on retail merchandise, restaurants, resorts, and attractions.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent experience
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers
- Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system
- Must be able to constantly stand and/or walk during shift
- Must be able to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Must be able to constantly communicate with others to exchange information
- Must be able to occasionally repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Must be able to occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools
- Must be able to occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
- Must be able to light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly
- Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed)
- Must be able to occasionally work in tight and confined spaces
- Must be able to occasionally work in noisy environments
- Must be able to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation
- Must be able to choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems
- Must be able to make recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices
