Part-Time Sales Coordinator

Job Summary
Conduct clerical and administrative duties for guest and hotel communications while performing light selling to small groups and functions. Answer phones, qualify inquiries, and handle small group bookings under 10 rooms or 10 people. Maintain sales files, accounts coverage programs, and lead logs; type contracts, correspondence, and reports. Assist managers with proposals, direct mail, and special events. Distribute BEO changes, rooming lists, and signed contracts to appropriate departments. Monitor office supplies, order collateral, and organize deliveries. Conduct site inspections, enter group pickups and preferred production in Sales Pro daily, and call clients for guarantee numbers 72 hours prior. Work weekends and holidays based on business demands.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to type 55 wpm
- Proficient with Microsoft operating Systems OnQ and Sales Pro Enterprise
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Must be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
Desired Qualifications
- College course work in related field
- Experience in a hotel or a related field
