Job Summary
Greet customers, understand their needs, and educate them on New Balance product features using proper selling techniques and the GUEST service model. Transact sales through suggestive selling, multiple selling, and effective closing while keeping the floor neat, organized, and well-stocked. Measure and fit customers appropriately, monitor merchandise for security violations, and report shrinkage. Follow safety regulations and assist with lifting and moving product boxes. Work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays in Christiana, DE.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Past retail experience preferred, but not necessary
- Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment
- Familiarity with cash register functions
- Ability to quickly perform basic math
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift 4 lbs. frequently
- Ability to lift maximum 8 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to kneel or squat frequently
- Ability to move boxes of product up to 50 lbs (with assistance if necessary)
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to climb ladders occasionally
- Ability to climb and descend stairs frequently
