Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly, professional service while helping shoppers locate and select products for home improvement needs. Replenish down stock by identifying empty shelf areas, process orders and deliveries accurately, and prepare merchandise such as tinting paint or cutting wood based on customer requests. Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support overall service standards. This part-time role rotates through departments including Appliances, Flooring, Hardware, and Pro Services, with occasional travel to meetings or neighboring stores. You may work in varying weather conditions and handle lifts up to 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
