Job Summary
Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly, professional service while helping shoppers locate and select products for home improvement needs. Replenish merchandise by organizing shelves and restocking supplies, then process orders and deliveries accurately to ensure timely receipt. Prepare specific departmental tasks such as tinting paint, cutting pipe or wood, bundling materials, or cutting drywall and blinds. Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support overall service delivery. Occasionally travel to meetings, training sessions, or neighboring stores. Work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and wet environments, while adhering to lifting guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
- Travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
