Job Summary
Patrol assigned areas or maintain a fixed post to monitor activity, control access points, and manage pedestrian/vehicle traffic. Identify and report suspicious activity, respond to alarms and emergencies, and monitor CCTV cameras while completing daily activity logs and incident reports. Follow all post orders, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols, inspecting property for hazards and supporting loss prevention efforts. Greet and assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally while maintaining a visible, approachable presence on-site at Staten Island Mall.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stay alert and respond calmly in emergency situations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
- State Guard license is required
Desired Qualifications
- Prior security or customer-facing experience
- Familiarity with CCTV, alarms, or access control systems
