Job Summary
Conduct consumer sales and assist commercial channel customers by ringing up transactions, finding items, and ensuring compelling merchandise presentations. Greet all incoming and outgoing customers with a can-do attitude to maximize business results. Participate in daily store operations including register duties, closing responsibilities, merchandising, and stock level management. Break down, organize, and stock weekly transfer shipments while maintaining a clean work environment through dusting, sweeping, and box disposal. Maintain appropriate price SKUs on the sales floor and operate office equipment, email, and phone systems. Requires three to five years of retail experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and strong communication skills. Competitive hourly wage of $17 per hour for this part-time role open to US residents.
Required Qualifications
- Three - five years experience in a strong retail sales, customer service, or similar environment
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Excellent time management, scheduling and organizational skills
- Excellent follow through and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
- High energy and motivated self-starter who makes a positive first impression on all customer interactions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus as necessary to read a computer monitor, catalogs, orders, and customer communications, etc
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, in the English language
- Ability to communicate in a knowledgeable manner on various Fortessa products/services and sell to prospective customers
- Ability to work under stress, interruptions and tight deadlines
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret print media, trade publications and websites that are in English
- Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information, and respond to questions from supervisors, customers, and sales / store staff
- Ability to prioritize work, problem solve, and answer questions
- Ability to operate office equipment, e-mail, computer and phone system
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with co-workers in order to prioritize workflow, request assistance if needed and assist others in achieving company goals
