Job Summary
Provide safe, engaging, and compassionate in-home respite care for neurodivergent children and teens with developmental disabilities throughout Orange County. Build meaningful relationships with families while following individual care plans to support daily routines and encourage independence. Engage children through games, crafts, outdoor play, reading, and sensory activities tailored to their needs. Work primarily during weekday afternoons after school, with flexible part-time shifts ranging from 4 to 6 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Have at least 1 year of childcare or caregiving experience
- Enjoy working with children of all abilities
- Are patient, dependable, and compassionate
- Communicate professionally with families
- Have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and auto insurance
- Can provide at least 2 childcare-related references
- Are at least 18 years old
Desired Qualifications
- Have experience with special needs, autism, developmental disabilities, ABA, respite care, or behavioral support (preferred but not always required)
