Job Summary
The Penn State Department of Family and Community Medicine seeks a part-time Research Coordinator to support NIH-funded randomized controlled trials and related preventive health studies focused on improving dietary intake and health outcomes. Responsibilities include coordinating trials, assisting with IRB submissions, recruiting and retaining participants, operationalizing study protocols, collecting and managing data (including biomarkers), performing data quality checks, and contributing to study documentation and dissemination. The role requires strong organizational skills, detail-orientation, excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and flexibility to work in-person and remotely (hybrid). Background checks are required; the position is fixed-term with potential for renewal, located at Hershey, PA with a hybrid remote work option.
Required Qualifications
- Human subjects quantitative research experience
- Demonstrated experience in data management, reporting, and basic statistical analysis
- Experience operationalizing and implementing human subjects research protocols
- Willingness to collect clinical biomarkers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities professionally and efficiently
- Flexibility to work in-person and remotely, including occasional evenings or weekends
- Reliable transportation
