Job Summary
Part-Time Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) delivering ventilator management and complex respiratory care in critical care areas. Responsibilities include administration of aerosolized medications, airway management (intubation/extubation, trach care), arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, collaborative care planning with the health care team, patient and family education, and mentoring of new staff and students. Requires strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills; supports quality care, safety, and adherence to policies. Certifications required upon hire include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (or equivalent), NBRC-RRT, and related respiratory care credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Respiratory Therapy or Associates Respiratory Therapy-Preferred
- NBRC-RRT
- RCP - Respiratory Care Professional
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ventilator management
- Airway management (intubation, extubation)
- Arterial blood gas sampling & analysis
- Education of patients and staff
- Electronic orders/charting accuracy
