Job Summary
Part-Time Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) at Cobb Hospital in Cobb County, GA. Responsible for delivering respiratory care including ventilator management, arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, aerosolized medication administration, broncho-waveform interpretation, and weaning, as well as airway management (intubation/extubation) and care of patients in critical care settings. Roles include patient/family education, coordination with the healthcare team, staff mentorship of students and peers, and participation in quality and safety initiatives. Requires collaboration with physicians and health-care professionals, strong assessment and critical thinking skills, and familiarity with electronic orders and charting. Licenses/certifications required: NBRC-RRT and listed ACLS/PALS/NRP/BLS credentials; minimum 0-2 years clinical experience with emphasis in critical care.
Required Qualifications
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
- Respiratory Therapist licensed/certified
- 0-2 years clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ability to communicate well, critical thinking, teamwork, computer skills
