Job Summary
Part-time Respiratory Therapist II provides respiratory care in complex critical care settings with ventilator management, ABG sampling, and medication administration. Responsibilities include patient assessment, collaboration with healthcare team, education for patients and staff, and adherence to safety/quality initiatives. Roles involve invasive/non-invasive procedures, cardiac service support, pulmonary diagnostic testing, and mentoring new employees and students. Requires Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy (or Associates with preference for Bachelor's), NBRC-RRT, and multiple certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP) with 0-2 years clinical experience including critical care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy
- NBRC-RRT certification
- RCP or Respiratory Care Professional certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or instructor variant
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or instructor variant
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) or instructor variant
- 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care
- Ventilator management experience
- Arterial blood gas sampling/analysis
- Ability to educate patients, families, students, and staff
