Job Summary
Part-Time Nights role for a Respiratory Therapist II in the NICU at Cobb Hospital. Responsibilities include medication administration and delivery of respiratory care in complex patient populations, ventilator management (weaning and settings), airway management (intubation/extubation/tracheostomy care), arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, patient and family education, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Requires advanced clinical knowledge, independent decision-making in critical care settings, and involvement in staff education and quality/safety initiatives. Minimum education is an Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelors preferred) with NBRC-RRT and multiple life-support certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP); 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care. Location: Portland, OR; shift: Night; job type: Part-Time.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy
- NBRC-RRT credential
- BLS (or ARRC-BLS)
- ACLS (or ACLS-I)
- PALS (or PALS-I)
- NRP (or NRP-I/NRP-P/NRP-Provisional) within 180 days
- RCP or NBRC-RRT license/registration
