Job Summary
Provide quality nursing care to residents in a geriatric long-term care facility; supervise nursing assistants and the unit clerk; administer medications and treatments; assess residents on admission and develop interim care plans; implement and update the care plan; respond to emergencies; maintain resident clinical files and accurate documentation; ensure safety, universal precautions, and compliance with facility policies; participate in daily rounds, plan of care meetings, and communications with physicians and family; shift differentials apply for weekends, afternoons, overnights, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Valid registration as an RN in NYS
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current CPR certification
- 5 years of long-term care experience
- One year of experience in similar setting/healthcare (preferred)
