Job Summary
Assess, communicate, and document residents' status while observing and reporting significant changes in behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations. Direct and supervise daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants, closely mentoring Lead Resident Care Assistants in all job aspects. Coordinate care needs with community providers via an effective case management process and effectively balance service demands with supporting resident independence. Recognize and assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, reporting to appropriate sources per state regulations. Respond to emergencies and manage personal emergency response systems, knowing when to call for backup. Requires current state RN license, CPR certification, and 1 to 2 years of nursing experience; previous experience with the elderly is highly desirable. Required Qualifications
- Current state license as an RN
- CPR certification
- Graduate of an approved RN program (per state requirements)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred
- Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable
