Job Summary
The RN provides individualized nursing care to residents in a not-for-profit senior housing/services facility, utilizing the nursing process across preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include coordinating care and resident assessment, education, and nursing interventions; collaborating with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary team; serving as charge nurse and delegating tasks to licensed/unlicensed staff as appropriate; ensuring compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and applicable administrative rules. The role may require serving in a charge nurse capacity and supporting safe, reliable administration of resident care with emphasis on resident outcomes. The position supports a Christian environment and a comprehensive benefits package is offered for qualifying part-time employees. Shift schedule varies.
Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Not-for-profit facility experience or interest in senior housing/services may be relevant
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary team; effective communication with residents and families
