Job Summary
Part-Time Registered Dietitian needed for Cura Hospitality in Natchitoches, LA, providing nutritional assessment and interventions for patients/residents at NRMC and the connected Courtyard of Natchitoches Nursing Home. Schedule 16-20 hours per week, 1-1.5 days on-site with 1 day remote. Responsibilities include delivering nutritional expertise to the healthcare team and patients, adhering to Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, collaborating with other departments to establish procedures, and participating in continuous quality improvement programs. Requires Bachelor's degree (or Master's), successful completion of the CDR exam or eligibility, ongoing continuing education (75 hours/5 years), and licensure/certification per state requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
- Master's degree in Nutrition or related field
- Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility
- Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR
- Licensed or certified, per state requirements
- Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights
- Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics
