Job Summary
Conduct nutritional assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for inpatient and outpatient care. Deliver education to patients, families, nursing, and food service staff regarding nutritional needs. Document patient assessments with specific goals and interventions in medical records. Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients' nutritional status and manage orders for therapeutic diets and supplements. Attend patient rounds and maintain clinical nutrition policies to ensure regulatory compliance. Work 24 hours per week at a starting rate of $29/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian with Commission of Dietetic Registration and licensed dietitian as required per state regulations
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food and Nutrition or related field
- Knowledge of regulatory standards
- Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software
- Ability to interact with individuals of all backgrounds
- Effective written, spoken, and non-verbal communication
- Service-oriented mentality with a focus on exceeding expectations
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor
- Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize projects and needs
- Willingness to provide support where needed to achieve outcomes
- Demonstrate integrity, respect, and discretion in all business dealings
- Attention to detail and ability to effectively manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption in place
