Part-time Recreation Lead Staff

Job Summary
Recreation Lead Staff leads multiple recreation programs for participants with developmental disabilities, supervising participants and volunteers, providing transportation and 1:1 support as needed, collaborating with community resources (YMCA, schools, churches, city recreation departments, Special Olympics), and handling administrative duties such as attendance, sign-in, program fees, and program evaluation. Strong emphasis on flexible scheduling (late afternoons, evenings, weekends), supervising recreation assistants and volunteers, and ensuring safe, engaging activities across arts and crafts, sports, fitness, dance, swimming, cooking, and educational programs. Requires High School diploma, at least 1 year of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and successful background and reference checks, with a compassionate, people-centered approach.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- Minimum of one-year related experience with persons with developmental disabilities or experience in recreation/sports activity leadership
- At least 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities is preferred
- A passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- Must pass company background and reference checks
