Job Summary
Welcome patients and determine their needs, then provide necessary paperwork and reviews for completeness. Perform preparation for next day, same day, and walk-in appointments, followed by scheduling all patient appointments. Enter patient information in the EHR completely and accurately, then finalize visits through precise payment processing and charge verification. Maintain medical records and follow all Primary Care Medical Home (PCMH) policies and procedures. Report to scheduled work sites and shifts on time, as locations and shifts change at the supervisor's discretion. Engage in all offered training, consultations, and supervisions, implementing directives and feedback professionally. Maintain confidentiality of services and respond to patients with non-judgmental empathy.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate, G.E.D., or comparable diploma
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports and procedure/training manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients/patients, customers, and general public
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Customer service orientation
- Must be able to respond to patients with non-judgmental empathy
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of services
- Must have strong numbers aptitude
- Must be able to utilize non-violent crisis intervention techniques with a patient who appears to be endangering themselves or others around them
